Our Sponsors

THE NEEDS WE CURRENTLY HAVE IN ALL THE PROJECTS ARE THE FOLLOWING:

Transport : (1) One x closed truck (8+ ton) with cooling plant to transport frozen/cold foodstuffs from donors (breaking the cold cycle leads to wastage – less wasted means more mouths fed! - borrowing leads to conflicts and lost opportunities). (2) Two x micro-busses for transporting of rehab centre and orphanage children to/from day care and schools. (3) Fuel (diesel and petrol) for borrowed trucks, busses and cars when transporting goods and people.

Foodstuffs : FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, Cooking oil, spices, milk, eggs, flour, bread, coffee, tea, sugar, soup, maize meal, vegetables, and meat.

Equipment : Crockery, cutlery, cooking (industrial size), refrigeration.

Utilities: Upgrade electrical supply at Care centres to make it safe, legal and supply consistent.

 
     
 

Medical : Addiction care medication, HIV/AIDS patient nutrition and hospice care as well as general first aid requirements.
Only qualified nursing staff (part-time volunteers) administers any medication.

Recreation : Care centre play pen, toys, volley ball court, mini cycle path for toddlers, plastic pool, etc.
Bedding : Beds (bunks, single and double) and bedding (blankets, etc).
Other : Fencing (palisade or walling) of open-air recreation space at Care centre.

COUNSELING volunteers! (Abuse, displacement, trauma, addiction, HIV/AIDS, genocide, xenophobia, etc)

Alberton, Angelo informal settlement, Boksburg, Ellisras (rural), Gyiani (rural), Geluksdal, Jan Hofmeyer (Jhb), Buhle Park, Reiger Park, Meyerton, Vanderbijlpark, Vosloorus, Orange Farms AH.

Organisation types supported:
Orphanages/foster homes, aged care, HIV/AIDS care, destitute care, trauma care, rehabilitation and counselling, feeding schemes, day care centres, schools, churches (with a genuine burden for community care or outreach) and community forums.

 

 

 

 

General matters :

We make use of volunteers (not paid!) and are administered by committee that is answerable to a board of trustees as well as industry peer organisations through the ECF. Some of our operational costs are covered by 3 x key business partners that kindly sponsor/provide our office space, our office phone, our website hosting and use of 1 x utility vehicle for deliveries. Our members/ad hoc supporters chip in to provide for diesel and all other related costs.

 

We remain committed and determined to build our operational capacity to that what will increase our effectiveness, on an ever-increasing scale, at meeting genuine community needs – personal or organisational enrichment is not our aim! ALL aid received from/by the goodwill of institutions and individuals are channelled back to point of need only. Unbiased and apolitical in approach, integrity and transparency are fundamental to how we do “business”! We meet community (lesser privileged) needs!
